15 Top Hotels in Downtown Nashville for Your Next Trip

Nashville is arguably the most popular travel destination in the U.S. right now. And for good reason! There are so many amazing things to see and do in Nashville. If you are planning a trip to Music City, these are the top hotels in downtown Nashville you should consider.

Nashville is an interesting place to experience. The city is filled with great places to eat and some even greater bars and distilleries to sample craft mixology. And if you really love whiskey, the famed Jack Daniels Distillery is just a short day-trip from the city.

Whether you make a weekend in Nashville to hit the bars and clubs on Broadway, or want to see some of the historical sites, you’re going to have a great time!

As its popularity has increased, Nashville has gotten more expensive. If you want to save money, hotels further out from downtown (especially by the airport) can save you money. But part of the appeal of Nashville is being in the center of the action. And being able to walk back late at night from the bars and not need to worry about getting a taxi or driving.

Made more confusing, some places may call themselves “downtown,” but really aren’t. They might be out by Music Row or Vanderbilt or on the east side.

From our experience, spending the extra money to stay right in downtown or in the Gulch can be worth it. These are the best downtown Nashville hotels for your next trip to Music City:

The Hermitage Nashville has played host to every famous musician the city has ever seen. This is the city’s only remaining “Beaux Arts” building, but the rooms and the property have undergone massive renovations over the years to keep the property up to contemporary standards. In a city filled with party hotels, this property offers a refinement many visitors want.

The staff deliver a level of service just not seen at other properties in Music City. From the “Bath Concierge,” who will draw your evening bath exactly to your specifications, to the athletic attendants who will customize the route for your morning run, The Hermitage delivers excellence.

The on-site restaurant, Capitol Grille, and the adjacent Oak Bar continue to be favorites in the city. And near the bar, the green and black art deco tiled bathroom has been consistently voted as the best bathroom in America.
