Relaxing on the Best Beach in Antigua
In Antigua, the days are long, the weather is warm, the beer is cold, and the beach is perfect. We found that the island has some of the best beaches in all of the Caribbean.
If you asked a traveler to the Caribbean to name one island, Antigua probably wouldn’t be at the top of the list. It doesn’t have the name recognition of other islands. It’s quite small and sparsely populated (compared to other islands in the Caribbean). What it does have is sun, sand, and beaches. It has lots and lots of beaches. There are 365 beaches in Antigua – one for every day of the year. And, as we discovered, these are among the best beaches in the Caribbean.
Beyond the beach, Antigua offers lots of water sports, including snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, paddle boarding, and wave runners. Historic Nelson’s Dockyard is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but was once home to the British Navy in the Caribbean. These days, the navy is one of private mega yachts for the rich and famous.
